Our name, NEEDO, comes from the heart of what we do: Knead + Dough. We make our fresh pasta from scratch and cook it on demand so you can enjoy freshly-made pasta every day.

Since day one, NEEDO has brought something unique to the Auckland food scene – wholesome, hearty, generous portions of freshly-made pasta combined with the quality and convenience of a home-cooked meal, and at an affordable price. Our story starts in 2013 from humble beginnings as a food truck, to today, with three stores in Auckland City.


Why did we call ourselves NEEDO? It’s simply a combination of knead + dough – something we do with love so you can enjoy freshly-made pasta every day.

We want to do our bit to rid the world of plastic waste, so when you visit NEEDO, your delicious pasta will come to you in a paper eco bowl with bioplastic cutlery from Ecoware.

All of our packing and cutlery is biodegradable and 100% commercially compostable.
